About Us

The Ypsilanti Youth Choir is the lifetime dream of director, Crystal Harding. Ms. Harding wanted to create a choir of Ypsilanti kids, that would serve and perform everywhere.
The group first convened in the summer of 2023. The choir quickly gained notoriety and has been invited to many community events, including Christmas tree lightings, Dr. Martin Luther King events, Black History events, multi-cultural events, music festivals, fundraisers and everything else. Our repertoire consists of a cappella folk songs of inspiration and a few upbeat tunes sung to instrumental tracks. All of our music is life-affirming and appropriate for all occassions.

Ypsilanti Youth Choir

Music is an important part of everyone’s life and it is always present at every great event. This is what brought us together – our love for beauty, art, and music. We are a special group of singers who just happened to be in the same place at the perfect time. It was extremely easy for us to discover what we had in common, and that was enchanting people with gorgeous music.
